The top portion is created by angled strips of knit with little cap sleeves

It is so out of what she normally does that I had to have it despite it having a couple of teeny flaws (see below)

It is made of a wool and perhaps mohair mix that combined with the bold and dramatic plaid make for a delicious mix of textures. I love love love the chain detail the encircles the hat.
