The Slovene Partisans formed part of the broader Yugoslav partisan movement and were among the most effective anti Nazi resistance groups in Europe. The artist who designed this poster, Nikolaj Pirnat, was interned in Gonars concentration camp in Italy before joining the partisans as an artist in 1943.
